About Us

Our office began as an auxiliary therapy office for a group of physicians. Massage therapy and other modalities were offered beginning in 1982. In 1990, the business passed to Kathryn Stewart.

Because this business began as a gift, it has led to a heightened appreciation and responsibility for our staff, patients, and services. We began with two rooms and three therapists and have slowly grown to five rooms and fifteen therapists.

We are well known in the northwest metro Denver for our public speaking and philanthropic work. We have worked hard to earn our community's trust and support.

All of our therapists are licensed, certified and insured.

We are members of The Colorado Massage Network and The American Massage Therapy Association.

Each therapist at Standley Lake Massage Therapy is fully trained and experienced in the following areas:

Headache, neck or shoulder pain
Whiplash/low back injuries
Sports massage
Prenatal massage
Stress reduction
Conditioning and stretching after injury

Kathryn Anne Stewart, owner of Standley Lake Massage Therapy, has received the American Massage Therapy Association's State Meritorious Award for 2001. This award is given for service to the massage profession in the recipient's home state and was presented at the annual convention in Quebec, October 2001.

Kathryn received the AMTA's State Meritorious Award again in 2003 for legislative work. The 2003 award was presented in Richmond, Virginia.
